MegaRace! complete with creepy guy intro

Its all starting to come back to me now. This was the best game that we had on our computer when I played it. I had a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick to play this game with. Its pretty good for an early 90's era 3D DOS game. Our computer couldn't quite handle the graphics on this game and it never ran that well. Hopefully I can find a disk and start it up again.

Random Factoid Of The Day: When I first bought the Sidewinder joystick, it did not work with my computer. This lead to my first experience with defective computer equipment. In school at the time we were learning to write letters so I wrote a letter to Microsoft and they sent me a brand new Joystick that worked. How about that for satisfaction as a kid? I told Gates what was going to happen and he obeyed.

Jackpot! Knowledge Adventure MS-DOS games

Our first family computer was a Packard Bell as was for many households. It came bundled with a Knowledge Adventure games bundle. I found several videos from user Rocky54167. It seems he recently found the CD and has recorded 19 videos.

I'll post some more videos of the other games later on.

Wacky Wheels

I think I stumbled upon this game at some random trade show that I was dragged into going. Luckily my parents bought me Wacky Wheels for MS-DOS! This game was sold back when games came on "floppy" disks (1.4mb).
The game is pretty simple. I mean, how complex could a MS-DOS racing game be from 1994? I'd like to think this was a predecessor to Mario Kart. Its very similar in that you have a few different animals as drivers and they each have different skill levels. Then you race each other on tracks that have obstacles and power ups. There are three different classes of tracks with increasing diffeculty, bronze, silver, and gold. I spent many hours testing my skills but I don't recall if I ever won a race on every track.
I'll have to dig out the diskette and have another go (or two) at it.

Why hello there

So lately I have been wishing that I could play some really old computer (and console) video games that I used to play when I was a young lad and Prodigy was the internet ISP of choice. I've been trying to make a list but I liked the idea of making it public and sharing with everyone. It is hard to remember all of the titles. I just had short clips and screenshots of various games in my head. I have started this blog to showcase old games and hopefully post screenshots and/or video clips of the good ole days. I hope to expand to television shows also. Kids WB was SWEET!!!

Random Factoid Of The Day: There has been a computer in my family with every Windows OS installed on it since 3.1 except for NT/2000 (yes, that means we had windows ME....).
